As The Slovak Olympic Committee partner on the Junior Olympic Team project, we decided to share the SOC news on their Grant program Show yourself!

Young athletes and junior sports teams aged 13 to 18 have again the possibility to apply for interesting financial grants in the program of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee Foundation Show yourself! The Foundation, in cooperation with the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee, will support talents this year in the total amount of 35 000€. The role of young athletes this time will be to deal with social networks. They will be helped by one of the most famous influencers and ambassador of the program Peter Altof, known as Expl0ited.

The main idea of the project Show yourself! is to help young Slovak athletes who do not have ideal conditions for development of their talent. The Foundation of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee and the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee want to provide conditions for full-fledged sports preparation of the hopes of Slovak sport. "You don't have to have worldwide success to apply for our grant. All you have to do is show your passion for sport to the whole of Slovakia and convinced us that you will use the funds from the grant to achieve global success once,” this is the main idea of ​​the project.

Compared to previous years, the method of selecting athletes for grant support has changed. “We want to give each participant of Show yourself! fair conditions. During the selected two holiday weeks, registered grant applicants must show how they can communicate via social networks. Together with Expl0ited, we will monitor how creative they are, but we will also evaluate their passion for sports. Based on the registration form and the activity of the applicants, the Board of Trustees of the SOŠV Foundation will select 24 finalists, regardless of whether they are a team or an individual. The professional team will shoot videos with the finalists for the public vote. The finalists will act as the director and also the main face of the video. The public will vote for the winner of the Show yourself!, "says Zuzana Vodáčková, director of the SOŠV Foundation.

Young athletes aged 13 to 18 who want to receive a grant must apply by June 21 using the form published on the website of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee, where they can also find additional information about the entire project.

Participation in the grant program Show yourself! often opens the door to the world of professional sports for young athletes. So far during the first four years of Show yourself! The SOŠV Foundation redistributed 240 000€, which helped to fulfill many sports dreams. Young athletes will also be supported by the well-known youtuber Expl0ited. “Project Show yourself! connects social networks, Instagram, youtube and sports - areas that I like and deal with. The athlete should also be able to present himself on social networks. At the same time, it should show people how important sport is for health and a lifetime, "said Expl0ited.

Each of the 24 finalists will receive a minimum of 1000€, the top three will share a total of 8 000€. All information about the grant program Show yourself! are on the website www.olympic.sk/ukazsa.
