SPA - Special applications Department
LYNX's Special Applications department aims at development and delivery of applications intended for specific utilisation within the Ministry of Defence and other power departments. The main areas of operation are military simulations, solution support for crisis events, distance learning and activities related to these areas.
Exercises support
Constructive simulation is a computer-based simulation of a battle activity and operation planning and control with virtual battle environment displayed, which is intended for preparing and training commanders and staff officers. Trainees train on organic command posts or their imitations at training centres with the aid of computers – so called computer aided exercises (CAX). The computer programme simulates processes and phenomena in real or specific time and environment with the aim to achieve an impression in the trainees of carrying out real operations and activities, as if they were carried out in a real environment under real conditions.
Conceptions and studies
The conceptions and studies elaborated on the basis of the customer's main requirements and imagination represent the basic documents for the customer in decision-making about realisation of his intentions in the development of new products and solutions.
Creation of software
Creation of software represents the development of new software solutions or expansion (modification) of already existing software solutions according to the customer's requirements.
As a long-term activity, Special Applications department has been devoted to creating terrain databases for the needs of CAX (computer-aided exercises) according to real data, to modelling 3D and 2D terrains as well. Terrain databases create conditions for units' behaviour according to the terrain conditions.
Implementation of special programme applications
Special programme applications are developed and implemented according to the customer's special requirements, aimed mainly at simulations, modelling, training, control and command systems, crisis control, systems for their evaluation in the Slovak Ministry of defence, Ministry of interior, Government office, other power departments and strategic institutions and organisations.
Special technologies
By 'special technologies' are meant special HW devices developed and implemented according to the customer's special requirements, aimed at simulation support, further for communication, modelling, training, control and command systems, crisis control in the Slovak Ministry of defence, Ministry of interior, Government office, other power departments and strategic institutions and organisations.
Trainings
Trainings are aimed at training new users or administrators for the delivered complex or expanding solutions of special software in the area of constructive simulations. For the system users, as well as other interested parties, we prepare the training in preparation, execution and evaluation of CAX type exercise methodologies, where these methodologies are presented.
ADL systems are intended in our product portfolio for the support for training, presentations and informing about our training materials.
